The Spirit of A Leader

Leaders are unique people. They have a very simple distinction and that is their thinking is different. Leaders do not think like followers. Leaders used to be followers- all of them. But what made them cross the line is a certain mentality that kicked in somewhere.
Something happened to them that made them think differently. I normally call that “attitudes that influence people”. If you want to be an impactful personality, you have to develop certain types of thinking and perception that change the way you see yourself and see the world. I call this “the spirit of leadership”.
Now, there are only two animals in the planet that the creator identified himself with. I want you to note them…
When I read the bible, I was shocked to find out that there were two animals that the creator identified Himself with. The first one is the eagle and the second animal is the lion. The lion has what I call, “the spirit of leadership”. And this word spirit here is referring to attitude. A leader has an attitude that makes him or her different from followers and the lion exhibits that attitude.
We have to conserve the same attitudes that the lion has because the lion has been given the same attitudes that God Himself identifies with – and He put it in this creatures. Apparently…you and I are supposed to be the kings of the animal kingdom…the rulers of the animals… so obviously we have somewhere trapped within us this same potential attitudes
The Tombstone
One of the saddest things I discovered is that we need a tombstone. People who are successful don’t need tombstones. The reason why we need tombstone is that we were so used to this here on earth…that whenever they planted us, they had to mark the spot…to remind us that we used to be there.
I want to challenge you from this day forward…and I believe I was sent here to tell you…to live from this point on in such a way that you wouldn’t need a tombstone.

It’s the cemetery
Why is the cometary the wealthiest place on earth?
Because buried in the cemetery… are books that were never written!In the cemetery…are buried…music that was never played! Paintings that were never painted are in the cemetery.
The graveyard is filled with businesses that were never opened… Magazines that were never written…. Ideas that never became reality. …Visions that never became a reality are in the cemetery. What a wealthy place?
A graveyard is a rich place, because buried in the graveyard are great men… who died as alcoholics… Awesome women…who died as prostitutes…Drug addicts…Why? Because people took their treasure to the cemetery.
I am afraid that sitting in your chair right now, is a person who is a candidate to add to the wealth of the cemetery. Many of you in this day are carrying books…that you’ve not written. Music…that you’ve not sang. Businesses…you’ve not opened. Magazines…you’ve not written. Schools…you’ve not opened.
You are sitting here with that treasure! And every day that passes you are getting closer …to the cemetery. You didn’t come to this planet just to receive. You came here to give. God sent you here with an assignment to fulfill. Don’t lose hope. Don’t let the cemetery take your treasure. Don’t rob us. Die empty!!!
